Prospect College was established in 1997. We provide hands-on and practical computer applications and allied health training to the residents of Washington DC, suburban Maryland, and Virginia neighborhoods. Prospect College is licensed as a degree-granting post-secondary educational institution by the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) / Higher Education Licensure Commission.
Prospect College is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education. The institution is certified by the U.S. Department of Education to participate in the Title IV financial aid programs, and authorized to accept student referrals from Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and vocational rehabilitation (Voc Rehab) agencies.

Prospect got me in the healthcare industry in less than 8 months. As a single mom they were flexible and I could balance family and school.
I’ve always wanted to work in Healthcare and didn’t know where to start. After research i realized that Medical Assisting was a perfect way to work in healthcare. I now work in a small clinic helping and that is what i always wanted to do.
I am now gainfully employed as a PC tech at a private school in Alexandria. Prospect let me use my skills to good use and put me in an internship after the program.
